Judge upholds $2.35M verdict against Sig Sauer over pistol shooting in Georgia

A federal judge has upheld a $2.35 million jury award in a product liability case against Sig Sauer. The case, which centered on alleged design flaws, was the first jury verdict finding the gunmaker negligent for an unintentional discharge.
Naveen Ramachandrappa and Matthew Sellers serve as appellate counsel, successfully defending the verdict against Sig Sauer’s motions for directed verdict, a new trial, and reduced damages.
Co-counsel and lead counsel Robert Zimmerman and Ryan D. Hurd of Saltz Mongeluzzi Bendesky continue to litigate against Sig Sauer across the country on behalf of injured victims.
