Attorneys from Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore, LLP obtained a $281 million jury verdict against Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. for breaching an agreement to sell two Atlanta sports franchises and an arena. The jury award is one of the largest compensatory damage awards in Georgia history.

The Bondurant, Mixson and Elmore team, led by Mickey Mixson and including Jill Pryor, Josh Thorpe, Steve Rosenwasser, Jason Carter and Chris Giovinazzo, won the verdict for client David McDavid after a seven week trial in Fulton County Superior Court.

“In business disputes as large and complex as this, it can be difficult for a jury to understand what actually occurred. We are pleased for our client that we could focus the jury on the essence of our case and that justice was served” said lead attorney Mickey Mixson.

David McDavid complimented the skill and attention to detail of his legal team stating “Mickey and his team did an absolutely amazing job of uncovering and articulating for the jury what really happened and why what Turner did was wrong.”
