Ga. Panel Considers New Statute In $46M Med Mal Case

In a closely watched appeal stemming from a $45.8M medical malpractice verdict, Bondurant's Mike Terry argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals that the state’s new tort reform statute should not apply retroactively to reverse an attorney fee award made before the statute’s effective date and that doing so could disrupt hundreds of cases across Georgia tried before that effective date.
