Elizabeth G. Eager, Associate

Liz Eager represents plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation in a number of areas, including contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property, civil RICO, and employment claims. She also has an active pro bono practice, representing individuals challenging state laws that restrict free speech on the Internet. Liz is currently a Board Member for the Atlanta Council for Younger Lawyers. 

Representative Work

Represented TASER International, Inc. and 40 of its largest shareholders in a lawsuit alleging that eight Wall Street firms, including Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley, engaged in naked short selling and illegal conversion and flex option trades that artificially depressed TASER's stock price. The case was resolved through a confidential settlement.

Represented a financial services corporation as plaintiff in a contract and business tort case where the corporation sought over $50 million. The case was settled favorably.

Represented an inventor in a dispute with a university and pharmaceutical corporation regarding royalty and licensing fees that resulted in a multi-million dollar settlement.

Defended an individual against misappropriation of trade secret claims brought by a previous employer

Represented an international rug manufacturing corporation in the resolution of a federal agency investigation into the safety of consumer product.

Advised a major cosmetics corporation regarding potential liability when terminating independent contractors.
