Michael Caplan is an associate who represents both plaintiffs and defendants in various matters in both state and federal courts, including contract disputes, class actions, business torts, antitrust violations, consumer fraud, and constitutional litigation.
Prior to joining the firm, Michael served as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard W. Story in the United States District Court in Atlanta.
He received his J.D., M.B.A., and undergraduate degrees from the University of Georgia. While attending law school, Michael was appointed as an Articles Editor for the Georgia Law Review and represented his class in two national moot court competitions. His team won the 2006 National First Amendment Moot Court Competition and finished in second place in the 2005 National American Bar Association Moot Court Competition.
Prior to graduation, Michael was appointed to the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers, and received the Outstanding Moot Court Advocate Award of his graduating class in 2006.
Michael is a member of the Indigent Defense Committee of the State Bar and has served as a Pupil in the Lumpkin Inn of Court. He is also a proud Big Brother in Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta.
